It
is a wonderful feeling when you help people realize their dreams. As your students
show progress in their English ability, largely due to your teaching and inspiration,
you will share in their feelings of accomplishment. Our teachers play an essential
role in the development and creation of students' lessons and so the feelings
of satisfaction are well deserved. |
AEON
has earned a strong reputation for quality lessons, and the surest way to protect
and enhance that reputation is through the efficient and effective training of
our teachers. After all, a school can only be as good as its teachers. AEON's
excellent training system and educational support staff of experienced and professional
teachers have successfully helped new teachers to adapt and develop rapidly. Teachers
receive a week of Initial Training upon their arrival in Japan at an AEON Training
Center. |

Teachers
have the opportunity to teach demonstration lessons during training with the support
and feedback of their trainers and fellow trainees.
Once at their schools, our teachers receive additional on-the-job training. Observing
the lessons of other teachers, attending informational meetings with the Manager
and Head Teacher, and receiving an orientation to the school and its procedures
are all part of a new teacher's first few weeks on the job. During this period,
AEON does its very best to help teachers make a smooth transition into their new
lives. The staff at the school will assist teachers in registering with City Hall
and opening a Bank Account, and will even provide instruction on how to use the
appliances in the apartment. |
To
enhance the skills they acquired during Initial Training and in the classroom,
teachers attend Follow-Up Training a few months after they have been teaching
at their branch schools. At this time, they are given an opportunity to share
ideas and teaching techniques with other teachers. In addition, various workshops
are held throughout the year to help teachers further develop their skills. Finally,
teachers are encouraged to maintain contact with members of the Training staff,
who provide personalized attention through phone calls and school visits. |
